"Van Lear Rose," Loretta Lynn's critically acclaimed 2004 album released earlier this year, produced by rocker Jack White, of White Stripes, has turned the country music industry on its head, and catapulted Loretta back into the spotlight with sold out show to legions of fans across the country.
When Loretta heard of Tim's auction, she decided to donate something very special to the cause: her high-heel shoes worn from the album cover of "Van Lear Rose." Now while you cannot see her shoes under her flowing white dress, these shoes are coordinated with her dress and include white lace and inlaid gold woven into the lace near the toe of the shoes. This pattern is accented with a series of silver sequines that were hand-applied.
The shoes are in good condition and were likely used over an extended period during the album cover photo shoots, and used on stage shortly after the album's release. Loretta autographed the inside of both shoes, "Love you, Loretta Lynn." The shoes are size 6M. Since both shoes are autographed, we're offering these as two separate auctions. You can bid on one or both shoes, and the two highest bids will each win a shoe.
All profits from the Swampstock 2004 charity online auction will benefit some of Tim's favorite hometown charities in the Rayville, Louisiana area.
